These Terms govern the use of the ScoreMix platform, operated by Developernauts (Pty) Ltd, registration number K2022344312 ("Developernauts", "we", "us"), of 25 Pelzer St, Suideroord, Johannesburg South, Gauteng 2091, South Africa, and available at https://www.scoremix.app. By creating an account or using ScoreMix you agree to these Terms. If you use ScoreMix on behalf of a club or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.
1.About ScoreMix
ScoreMix is software for sports clubs and organisers to run racket-sport competitions. It provides, among other things:
- club profiles, club staff roles, and club member administration;
- events, tournaments, and leagues, including registration, scheduling, match scoring, results, and standings;
- Quick Tournaments — standalone tournaments an individual organiser can run without a club;
- a global Player directory used to identify participants across clubs and competitions; and
- an optional integration with RacketMix, another Developernauts-operated service, through which public club competitions can be discovered and competition results shared (see section 6 and the Privacy Policy).
ScoreMix is a tool for organisers. We do not run competitions ourselves and are not a party to any club's relationship with its members or participants.
2.Accounts
Registration and accuracy. You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. Accounts require a verified email address; some functionality is unavailable until your email address is verified.
Security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account. ScoreMix supports two-factor authentication and we encourage you to enable it. Tell us promptly through the support contact if you believe your account has been compromised.
One person per account. Accounts are personal. Do not share an account or let someone else operate as you.
Suspension and account deletion are covered in section 12.
3.Clubs, organisers and participant information
Clubs and organisers routinely enter other people's information into ScoreMix — for example when adding Players to a roster, importing participants, recording memberships, or accepting registrations.
Your responsibility. Clubs and organisers are responsible for ensuring that they have an appropriate lawful basis or authority to provide Player and participant information to ScoreMix. You should only add people you legitimately know or are entitled to manage for club or competition purposes. As a club or organiser you must also:
- hold that authority for everyone you add — including, for junior participants, the appropriate parent, guardian, or other competent-person authority required by law;
- keep the information you enter reasonably accurate and up to date;
- manage access responsibly — grant staff roles only to people entitled to them and remove access when it should end;
- use participant information only for legitimate club and competition purposes; and
- respond appropriately to requests from Players about information you entered (for example correcting a member's details), cooperating with us where a request spans both of us.
ScoreMix does not require every Player to personally consent before an organiser may add them, and does not verify age or parental authority. That authority is yours to obtain and ours to rely on. If we receive a substantiated complaint that information was added without an appropriate basis, we may correct, restrict, or remove it (see section 4) and may raise it with the club or organiser concerned.
ScoreMix's role. Developernauts provides ScoreMix to process the information needed to operate club and competition functionality on your behalf. We also independently operate platform-level functions — accounts, the global Player identity and directory, platform security and administration, billing, and the ScoreMix/RacketMix ecosystem. In doing so we maintain reasonable safeguards, restrict internal access, notify affected clubs of relevant security incidents as the law requires, assist with legitimate privacy requests, and use the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy, for whose handling of that information on our instructions we remain responsible.
4.The global Player directory
Player identities in ScoreMix are global: one Player record represents one person across the whole platform, and organisers may find and reuse an existing Player rather than creating a duplicate.
- A Player's email address, where supplied, is used internally to avoid creating duplicate Player identities. It is not displayed publicly.
- Club memberships, rosters, registrations, and competition entries remain separate, context-bound relationships. Being able to find a Player in the directory does not give a club access to another club's data.
- Clubs and organisers do not own the global Player identity. They control the club- and competition-specific information they enter about a Player.
- A Player may link their ScoreMix identity to a RacketMix account; ScoreMix and RacketMix accounts remain separate systems.
Correction and removal. If you believe information about you in ScoreMix is incorrect, should be corrected, was added without appropriate authority, or you wish to exercise applicable privacy rights, contact us at support@developernauts.com. We will act on substantiated requests, which may include correcting information, removing personal information, or anonymising a Player record. Where competition, accounting, or other records may lawfully need to remain — for example completed match results and standings, or billing records — we may retain them, with personal identifiers removed or anonymised where appropriate, rather than deleting the underlying records. We do not promise unconditional deletion. The Privacy Policy describes the available rights and how requests are handled.
5.Tournaments, leagues and competitions
Organisers create and manage their own competitions and control their settings, including the public/private setting. Match results, scores, and standings recorded in a competition become part of the shared competition history of everyone who took part; they are not one participant's private record. Completed results are retained to preserve that shared history, as described in section 4 and the Privacy Policy.
6.Public competitions and RacketMix
Public club competitions on ScoreMix may be shared with RacketMix so that RacketMix users can discover them and follow matches, results, and standings.
- Only competitions marked public, under a public and active club, are shared. Organisers control this with the public/private setting.
- Private club competitions and personal Quick Tournaments are not listed through RacketMix under current behaviour.
- The information shared is limited to what the RacketMix competition experience needs. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is and is not shared.
7.Subscriptions, credits and payments
Club Operations subscription. A recurring subscription per club, billed monthly or yearly, that entitles the club to run club competitions beyond the free allowance. Displayed prices on our pages are indicative; the price presented by Paddle at checkout is authoritative and may be localised. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled, charged through Paddle to the payment method on file; you can update your payment method from the club billing page (handled on Paddle's secure page).
Tournament Credits. One-time credit packs for individual organisers. One credit currently enables one Quick Tournament. Credits are added when Paddle confirms the purchase, are consumed when a credit-gated Quick Tournament is created, and currently do not expire. Credits are personal to the purchasing account and are not transferable or redeemable for cash, except where a refund is due under section 8 or required by law.
Free allowances. Each user account has a one-time free Quick Tournament, and each club has a one-time free club competition. Creating the relevant competition — even as a draft — consumes the allowance under current product behaviour.
Payments. Payments are processed through Paddle, which may provide the related payment documentation through its payment service. Payment-card and payment details are entered with and processed by Paddle; ScoreMix does not handle them directly.
Eligibility. ScoreMix features that require a subscription may be restricted when the subscription is unpaid, cancelled, expired, past due, or otherwise not in an eligible subscription state.
8.Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation. You can cancel a Club Operations subscription at any time from the club billing page. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period: the subscription stays active until then, and you can resume it any time before the period ends. When a subscription ends, the club keeps its data and competition history — records are not deleted because a subscription stops.
Refunds. Refund and cancellation requests are handled in accordance with applicable law — including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and, where it applies, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 — and through Paddle's payment processes. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. To ask about a refund, contact support@developernauts.com with the transaction reference.
Pricing changes. We may change prices and product composition. Price changes to a recurring subscription take effect from a future renewal and will be communicated in advance. Launch discounts are limited-time offers and may end without affecting the standard product.
9.Acceptable use
You must not:
- use ScoreMix for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable law;
- access, or attempt to access, accounts, clubs, or data you are not authorised to access, or bypass or probe access controls;
- abuse, harass, or threaten other users;
- upload or transmit malicious code or interfere with the platform's operation;
- scrape or bulk-extract data in a way intended to disrupt or abuse the service or its users;
- impersonate another person, club, or organisation; or
- provide information you know to be false or fraudulent.
We may suspend or restrict access to investigate or stop conduct that breaches this section.
10.Intellectual property
The ScoreMix software, branding, and platform remain the property of Developernauts (Pty) Ltd and its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of that to you.
Clubs and users retain whatever rights they hold in the information and content they provide (such as club descriptions, logos, and participant information they are entitled to provide). You grant us the non-exclusive rights needed to host, process, display, and transmit that content to operate and improve the service as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy — including, for public competitions, sharing competition information through the RacketMix integration.
11.Availability and changes
We aim to keep ScoreMix available and dependable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, release changes, and experience reasonable interruptions. Where planned maintenance is likely to be disruptive, we will try to give notice. We may change or retire features over time; material reductions in paid functionality will be handled reasonably and communicated.
12.Account suspension and deletion
Suspension. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, is used unlawfully, or creates a security or abuse risk for the platform or other users. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. Fees already paid are handled under section 8.
Deletion. You may delete your account from within ScoreMix. Deleting your account removes your login and account-specific data. It does not erase the platform's competition record:
- your global Player record and competition history (matches, results, standings, memberships) may remain where appropriate, and can additionally be anonymised on request under section 4;
- Quick Tournaments you organised survive as historical records, with your organiser ownership removed — they are no longer manageable by anyone;
- billing and transaction records are retained for accounting and legal purposes; and
- an account that owns a club cannot be deleted while that ownership remains unresolved — contact support@developernauts.com to resolve the club first. There is currently no self-service club ownership transfer, and clubs are not automatically deleted or transferred.
13.Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies, or liability for fraud or for gross negligence to the extent it cannot be excluded.
Subject to that:
- ScoreMix is provided as a competition-administration tool. We are not responsible for how clubs and organisers run their competitions, for decisions they make, or for information they enter.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data caused by events reasonably outside our control.
- Our liability in connection with the service is otherwise limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
14.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be notified through the platform or by email. These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
